26.01.15//HORSE AND HOUND

So, I broke my 'No shopping in January' rule yet again for something I've wanted for years. Yes, you guessed it, a Barbour Jacket. Whilst window shopping on ASOS, I saw this baby for £27 reduced from £90!!! I actually thought it had been listed incorrectly! Not only was it priced ridiculously low for a Barbour, but it was the last one and it just happened to be in a size 10 (I'm an 8 so it could be a bit smaller but it fits fine) so it had to be mine! It's such a great quality jacket and fits in perfectly with my sometimes modern equestrian/country style!

This is the perfect gig outfit. Considering the amount that I love music, I don't go to nearly enough gigs! Hmm, maybe I should add 'go to more music events' to my ever growing list of new years resolutions!

 16/01/15:THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT

Imagine me getting myself all primed in position to take my photo's then something catches my eye,I look to my right and I see this beautiful creature just chilling out in the winter sun! I'm not sure if I've set eyes on such a beautiful butterfly in my life, but I took this rare sighting as a sign. The complete metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly has always intrigued and astounded me. This being a new year and all,  I don't know maybe it's a great time to transform myself? Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy within myself and proud of what  I've achieved so far... but I sometimes feel that I hold back a bit because I'm scared of failure or getting hurt. Maybe if I allowed myself to let go of my inhibitions  I could achieve truly wonderful things

So thank you for the inspiration little butterfly friend, thank you very much indeed.

11/01/15:BLACK+WHITE=GREY

So, today I was able to film two video's for my YouTube Channel because the light was so good! Earlier, I was telling my brother just how much the weather affects my mood and how I dream of moving to a hot country near a beach so I could go swimming and go camping e.t.c! I swear, even a little bit of sunlight and warmth instantly brightens my mood...probably something to do with Vitamin D and all that sciencey stuff that goes over my head haha!

10/01/15: A WALK IN THE PARK

Today, despite the gale force winds, I went in search of a new place to take my outfit photo's!I find it so inspiring taking my photo's in new places, and I'm lucky enough to live near an amazing park! I've been coming here since I was little with my family and have spend almost entire summers here. I still find myself thinking how wonderful it is that parks this beautiful are free!!
It was freezing, so I layered up both my bomber and my leather jacket to shield me from the cold!

 07/01/15: GREEN VINTAGE CARDI

It is not at all warm in London at the moment, so I dug out an old favourite; this huge warm vintage cardigan that I stumbled upon in TRAID in Shepherds bush ... I believe it was under £20 as well!! This bag is vintage too, but I got from Absolute Vintage in Brick Lane!
The top is a thermal one (which is totally necessary in this weather) from UNIQLO.
Those are my AA Riding Pants and my good old suede ankle Zara boots!

 04/01/15: I LIKE YOU CULOTTE
(...see what I did there)

So, I have confession.... I'm a little bit obsessed with these, culottes. There I said it. Haha, no but really they add some serious cool factor and sophistication to an outfit. To begin with I didn't know what to do with these palazzo, capri pant hybrid creations, but now that they're in my life I couldn't be without them. I'd like to thank our mutual friend Primark for introducing us!
I styled them very simply, with this crop top from AA.

The wide brimmed hat is from H+M.
This floor length waistcoat was my mums.......until I stole it .

...and these suede pointed boots are oldies from Zara.

Hope you're having a great Sunday wherever you are and whatever you're doing!

 HELLO 2015

I don't know about you, but I'm so excited about what this year will bring. This morning (despite going to bed at a ridiculous hour) I sprung out of bed feeling so inspired and full of life.  I was so excited to shoot my pictures even though it's absolutely freezing out today!! So without further ado I give you my first post of 2015, let's make it a good'un yeah?! xxx

I'm absolutely in love with these beautiful American Apparel Riding Pants my big brother got me for Christmas!!

This shirt is also American Apparel but I've had it for years...I usually only wear it in the summer, but I thought it went with my pants perfectly!
I've also had this fur collared coat for years, it's one of maybe two things I've ever bought from Miss Selfridge. My wellies are Hunters.
This outfit makes feel like I'm just getting back from a horse riding lesson or something :-)

Yet another piece from AA, anyone would think I was obsessed that shop or something!!!

  d o n 't  w a i t  u p

'Tis the season to go out with your mates and soak up all the festive fun, right??!! However, I'm currently sitting in my room wearing tracksuit bottoms and a baggy jumper haha !! I like to stockpile 'going out' outfits in advance because I never know what to wear, to parties and things! This outfit's so simple and also easy to dress up or down.

Pop a chunky knit cardigan on and lose the hat for a cosy night at your local pub.

Or whack on some 'way too high to walk in' chunky heeled boots (think Jeffrey Campbell) and a long black duster coat for a real head turning ensemble.

Till next time ....

 BOOHOO HAUL

Last week I placed an order on Boohoo, I never really order clothes online because I worry about how it'll fit and quality. I know that most sites lets you return them for free if you're unhappy, but that's always seemed like such a faff  to have to go line up in the Post Office just to send it back .I'm much more comfortable with buying clothes in store so that I can try them on. However I noticed that Boohoo were offering 20% off all of their dresses plus free delivery on everything so I simply couldn't resist having a little look and one thing lead to another and a week later these babies were delivered to me (in a rather festive package may I add). I was pleasantly surprised by what I received.

I also did a video of me opening the package and my first impressions/ reactions on my YouTube Channel if you fancy checking it out!

 Ruth Lurex Co-Ord

£8
I love this set it'll be perfect for a night out. Although I noticed the material felt a bit scratchy on the skin (around the waistband on the shorts) when I first put this on but by the times I'd taken a few photos I'd totally forgotten about it and it didn't bother me at all.

 Camilla BodyCon

  Camilla BodyCon

 £8
I like these dresses they're simple and perfect for just throwing on with some heels when you need a quick outfit. They fit well but aren't  as fitted as I usually like (but then again I'm obsessed with American Apparel body cons) but for £6.40 who am I to complain eh?!. They're very comfortable and are a nice length.

 Chelsie Side Split Midi

£10

Initially I was going to buy a similar one on ASOS but this one was £8 cheaper and looked pretty much identical. I really like this skirt it's really simple and versatile.
